Owner and Maker

“When I grow up and have a horse, he will be the best dressed!” I said when I was a child. From a very young age, I made miniature equipment for my Barbie horse and sketched horses adorned with colorful parade equipment! I was as fascinated by these magnificent animals as by the equipment they wore. After acquiring my REAL Barbie horse in 2007, I immediately began to explore leatherwork to make various unique pieces of equipment for him. Having only my college education in Visual Arts and a certain talent for crafts, I discovered on my own how to make equestrian equipment.
At that time, I would never have dared to dream of making it my job! However, today, horses located in the four corners of North America and Europe are wearing Création Uniqu'Orne equipment!

Jean-François is Susie's Husband! With his great patience and meticulousness, he is in charge of the industrial sewing machine. In addition to stitching everything we make, he also cuts the shapes in the leather hides, finish the edges of each item and tightens all the screws to ensure that everything is solid.
He's also good at giving his unsollicited opinion on every design! ;)
